OVO Vodka relocates distillation operations to Waterbury, Connecticut, partnering with CoreBev to support growth, innovation, and sustainability
Waterbury, CT — OVO Vodka today announced the relocation of its distillation operations from Jacksonville, Florida, to Waterbury, Connecticut, partnering with CoreBev and its production arm, Connecticut Distilling.
The move represents a strategic evolution for the brand, positioning production closer to OVO Vodka’s core Northeastern markets while enhancing operational efficiency and supply-chain responsiveness. In addition to logistical improvements, the Waterbury facility enables greater flexibility for innovation, including the development of custom SKUs, limited-run releases, and market-specific expressions.
“Relocating our distillation to Connecticut is a deliberate step forward for OVO,” said Jon Dunnington, COO at OVO Vodka. “This move improves how we operate day-to-day, but just as importantly, it gives us the creative freedom to experiment, particularly around more sustainable formats, packaging innovations, and production methods that wouldn’t have been practical before.”
Beyond production capability, the partnership aligns OVO Vodka with CoreBev and Connecticut Distilling’s sustainability-driven approach to beverage manufacturing. CoreBev Group emphasizes efficiency, responsibility, and long-term environmental stewardship through waste reduction, water-conscious cleaning practices, energy-efficient equipment, and responsible handling or reuse of organic byproducts. Sustainability at the facility is embedded into daily operations, balancing product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility at every stage of production.
Several products produced under the Connecticut Distilling brand further extend this ethos by upcycling beer byproducts from local breweries and transforming them into spirits, reinforcing the facility’s commitment to circular and resource-efficient practices.
“This relocation is the first step in a longer-term sustainability roadmap for OVO,” added Dunnington. “From cleaner logistics and EV-based fulfillment partners to packaging efficiencies and working toward B Corp certification, we’re focused on practical changes that compound over time.”
The Waterbury facility offers integrated distilling, blending, bottling, and co-packing capabilities, allowing brands like OVO Vodka to move efficiently from concept to bottle under one roof. OVO Vodka confirmed that the transition has been completed without disruption to existing distribution or product availability, and all current market partnerships remain unchanged.
Additional details regarding new product initiatives and sustainability milestones will be shared later this year.
